Happy new year friends. Here's to beginning another journey around the sun. A clean slate with endless possibilities. As I look back on 2017, I can't help but reflect on what has gone before and what the future holds. 2017 was a momentous year for me, I started a new job at UCLA with the department of Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S), and now celebrating my 1 year anniversary with the university. I've had my fair share of ups and downs in my career, and I can say with some degree of confidence that this time things are really looking up. Working here has allowed me to be in the career I love, as well as pursue my passions. I'm very fortunate. UCLA has always been my dream job.
Speaking of passions, one of the exciting things that has happened since I starting working here was connecting with colleagues and coworkers who shared in the same enthusiasm for the great #outdoors like me. We launched an outdoor #adventure club within EH&S, called UCLoA, which stands for UC Lots of Adventures...get it?! U..C...L..lots of...you know..adventures??...Haha. I think it's quite clever and amusing. The club has hit the ground running and we have organized future #hiking, #camping, and #backpacking activities. Here are just some events we've had and some events coming up. I'll be able to go on more adventures, as well as document more adventures, share them, and hope through all of this, inspire more people to find their own adventures.
