What if you could spend 24 hrs on an #adventure race with your best buddies in the city, accomplishing a list of amazing, and often times, ridiculous #challenges, while #competing against other 596 teams? This weekend was a whirlwind, but that's what we did! Four of my girlfriends and I participated in the 2016 #Cotopaxi #Questival representing team 'LA To The Bay Baes,' and it was amazing. Never have I endured and conquered such absurd challenges with such little sleep.
In a 24 hr span we watched the sunrise over #San #Francisco, #camped with fellow Questivalers we just met, shared s'mores, ghost stories, and sang pop songs over a #campfire we built without matches. We challenged other teams to: a potato sack, 50 meter foot, and 100 meter swim races, walked random stranger's dogs, and did random acts of kindness, to name a few; all while promoting the Cotopaxi Questival motto, "Do Good." It encourages participants to 'do good' for ourselves, our #community, the #environment, and #humanity. We had a wonderful experience building #friendships, meeting people, pushing ourselves, and experiencing our surroundings.
Often times, our quest required the assistance of random strangers on the streets of San Francisco to assist with our ridiculous cause. We held impromptu dance battles, bubble blowing contest, awkward staring contest, hi-fives, foot races, etc., and were encouraged by the willingness and friendliness of San Franciscans who participated in our ridiculous antics LOL. At the end of 24 hrs we placed 56th out of 596 other teams!!! That ain't too shabby if we do say so ourselves!!! And like Jason Mraz said, “Here’s to freedom, cheers to art. Here’s to having an excellent #adventure and may the stopping never start." Here's to the next one!!
