Difficulty: Moderately Difficult

Distance: 8.6 miles

Time: 4 hours

Accessible: Fall - Spring

What better way to burn off the holiday feasting than by going on a pretty strenuous #hike. The #trail to Chiquito Falls is near the Lake Elsinore area. The trail head parking is across the street from The Candy Store on Ortega Highway (Route 74). Being in the Cleveland National Forest, you’ll need to display an #Adventure Pass to park. If you don’t have a pass, you can purchase one at The Candy Store. Unfortunately because of the drought here in CA, the #waterfall was dry as a bone.

The trail winds through #oak #trees and and at times rocky inclines. A lot of the trail is sun exposed. You have to watch for mountain bikers on this trail, as it's a popular down hill route. I made sure to bring lots of water in my Hydro Flask insulated water bottle, as it's the best for keeping your water cold for an extended period of time.
